I find rolled oats the best for granola. If I make oatmeal I will used rolled, or steel cut. Steel cut take a little longer to cook and even so will be a little grittier--which I don't mind. Let me know how the granola goes! I limit myself to only making one batch per week and try to make it last the whole week. I can usually get to about 5 days...
Always rolled oats? Or do you mess around with steel cuts?

Thanks again. I added some peanut butter and honey to your recipe then tossed in some dried cherries while it was cooling from the oven.
Right now I am trying to hold back my kids from eating it all - lol
