Dear Dad,
While not technically true, for most people this week represents the last week of summer or the first week of fall. Many kids are going back to school, the east coast sun set time dipped below 8:00 p.m. and we had college football to watch last Saturday.
Even years after the rhythm of a school year or football season has been part of my life there is something innately promising about this time of year. There’s not a better time to settle back into healthy routines that had been only casually adhered to or cast away in favor of a flurry of fun summer activities.
Use this week to recalibrate your objectives, goals, and routines. Asses where you’re at and if your choices support the person you hope to reflect in the world. Are you treating your body in a way that shows the importance you assign to self care? Is the food you eat promoting the healthy lifestyle you dream to achieve? Do you move your body in a way that gives thanks for the ability?
This fall, eat well and move often.
With Love,
JSR
